This tour will take you on a sensational adventure; tasting different flavors of exquisite coffee that will simulate traveling throughout Colombia. You will master the science of coffee from the seed to a finely prepared cup and learn about the coffee culture, history, and the way in which it became a defining symbol for the Colombian people.
Itinerary
To start this tour, you will be picked up from your hotel (transport option) and then taken to La Candelaria, a colorful neighborhood full of history in the center of the city. Here you will start by going to Arte y Pasión Café: Escuela de Baristas. You will be enchanted by the different varieties of specialty coffees they have and the types of preparations they make depending on the coffee of your choice. It is here where you will learn about coffee and how important it is for the Colombian Culture. You will have a very special coffee tasting, in which you will learn to refine your palate in order to capture the various flavors that are present in the coffee and also to be able to differentiate between quality coffee and mass-produced coffee.
Then, you will walk to Colo, a new trend in the coffee experience, without a doubt one of the best places to enjoy all possible options. You will walk along the center and be taken to a very special and traditional place in the center of Bogota - Casa Galeria, a place that has preserved its tradition for generations and you will be able to know many coffee options to buy and taste.
Continue the tour by visiting a coffee roaster called Café de la Fonda. The roasting stage is the final point of the process in the plantations. Here an expert will explain each of the steps that coffee has to go through in the production process. There is a whole world behind a cup of coffee and in this place you will have the pleasure of discovering every part of it. This option is done only with transportation.
