Bogotá City Tour is the most comprehensive way to see the relevant sights of the city in one day. You will be guided by a knowledgeable guide who will teach you about historical and current facts of Colombia.
The first stop will be a visit through the picturesque cobbled streets of La Candelaria. You will visit the Botero Museum, which features works of the eccentric artist who has become an icon of Colombian contemporary art, Fernando Botero. You will have a stop at Chorro de Quevedo to appreciate the diverse contrasts that the historical center offers and learn more about Bogotá's history.
After the walking tour in La Candelaria, you will reach Plaza de Bolívar; The main square of the city. The square is surrounded by administrative and governmental buildings that have been fundamental to the historical processes of the country that you will know through the tour guide.
Finally, you will walk through Jimenez Avenue to visit an impressive collection of indigenous gold pieces at the Gold Museum. At the exit, you will have the chance to shop at the handicrafts market at Santander Park.
As an option, we can visit Monserrate Sanctuary, located within the imposing Eastern Hills of the city, at an altitude of 3150 meters above sea level. Ascending to the top of the mountain on a cable car, you will reach the most notorious pilgrimage point of the city and an incredible lookout spot in the capital below. This is a spot to grasp the historical and spatial context of the city.

I took the Bogota City Tour with Viviana who was exceptionally skilled at interweaving local information with factual content for a fun and educational afternoon. This tour provided a foundation for my understanding of Colombian history, geography and culture. Vivi was truly passionate about her country and a warm, friendly tour guide.
This tour was fantastic. It was the perfect introduction to Bogotá and a great way to spend our first day there. We were able to get a good overview of the main historic district and enjoyed starting the day in Monserrate.
We visited the Gold Museum and the Botero Museum. Our guide, Daniel, was very knowledgeable and gave us a very detailed tour of each museum.
Traveled around Colombia independently for 5 weeks. Thanks to Paula and the whole team at IMPULSE, we had a fabulous time. They took care of us every step of the way -- from the initial planning stages to the last day of our trip. Always available and always ready to help. We found this agency to be courteous, friendly, and very accommodating. We would definitely recommend IMPULSE Travel to anyone who wants to experience the real Colombia.
I do not have enough words to describe how fortunate my boyfriend and I feel to have discovered Destino Bogota (now Impulse Travel). We did our first tour with them a couple days into our trip, a hike to Chorrera, the tallest waterfall in Colombia. The waterfall is a hidden gem that not many touring companies in Colombia cover, but Destino Bogota (now Impulse Travel) had the most amazing adventure tours which was exactly what we were looking for. There was a small mix up in our reservation but the second it was discovered one of the owning partners (Rodrigo) contacted us and actually decided to join us as our guide on the tour. Overall, my boyfriend and I agree that without Rodrigo, Alejandro, and Fabio, our experience of Colombia would not have been as entrancing. When I go back, I will book every tour with this company. They really know how to combine adventure, history, and great personality into one wonderful experience.
